Our pool is a heated indoor hydrotherapy pool, it is heated at 32 degrees Celsius. Lessons have a running time of 30 minutes
Q: Where are we?
A: Come through the main entrance of St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital. We are located on the lower ground floor, down the stairs or lift, just past the chapel. Please note you will need to access via the back entrance on weekends. Turn right after the sliding door, follow the corridor and turn first left, or alternatively ask us for directions when you sign up.
Q: What do I bring to my baby’s swim lesson?
A: Bring swim nappies, bathers, towel and a change of clothes for your lesson. There are plenty of changing stations to change your baby at.
Q: When do classes run?
A: Our lessons run during the school term starting on the first Saturday of the weekend before school returns. Please note we do not run classes on public holidays.
Please note we run in school terms which allows our little swimmers to have a break over the school holidays. However please note that you are welcome to start classes at any point in the term. You only pay for the classes you enrol for!
Q: How much do the lessons cost?
A: Lessons are paid in advance as a term block via our website. Cancellation will incur a $30 administration fee per child.
- $20 per lesson for 5 months to 3 years
- $21 per lesson for 3 years and over
- $50 for PRIVATE lessons (one on one, any age group)
Q: I’ve missed a lesson what happens now?
A: Please note that we do not offer cash refunds under any circumstances. If you absence was due to a medical emergency, we will offer a credit class on provision of a medical certificate covering the missed class. You can also arrange a make up class easily via your Udio account (subject to availability).
Q: My child missed a lesson due to being sick/injured/family emergency. Am I able to make this lesson up another time?
A: Make up lessons are available if you are going to miss a lesson due to illness, injury or a family emergency, not for holidays.
Q: What happens if Mercy Baby Swim are unable to run due to unforeseen circumstances?
A: Should Baby Swim be forced to cancel a lesson due to unavailability of staff or malfunction of the facility, parents will receive a credit note to the value of the lesson or a makeup lesson at the end of term at the same day and time of their normal lesson.
Q: How do I pay the fees?
A: Payment is via our website on enrolment. You will need to create an online account. You will be enrolled once payment is made.
Q: I want to enrol my baby into the Mercy Baby Swim program. What class should I enrol them into?
A: That would depend on your babies age:
- Duck 1 6-12 months
- Duck 2 12-18 months
- Duck 3 18-24 months
- Duck 4 24-30 months
- Duck 5 30-36 months
Transition: Once your child turns 3, they transition for a term with no parent in the water. After a term of transition, they move up to Level 1.
Dolphin Levels 1 to 4 are skill based not age based.
Q: My child is 3 or over and has never attended swimming lessons before and has no experience in the water. What level should I enrol my child in?
A: Transition would be the most suitable level for your child
